Importing from Excel or CSV

If you already keep your cellar in an Excel or CSV file, there’s no need to re-enter everything by hand: Beviamolo can read it for you. You’ll find this feature under Settings → “Import from Excel/CSV”.

Before you start

The free plan includes one import per month, with a maximum number of bottles per session; the Premium plan allows unlimited imports. The quota available is shown at the start of the wizard.

Step 1 — Upload the file

Select your file (.xlsx, .xls and .csv are supported). If the file contains several sheets, you’ll be able to choose which ones to import.

Step 2 — Match columns to fields

Beviamolo guides you one column at a time: for each column in your file you choose which card field it corresponds to (wine name, producer, vintage, and so on). To help you, you’ll see a few sample values taken from that column and a short explanation of each field. The most likely field is already suggested automatically: you can confirm it or change it.

The columns you’ve already matched stay visible and you can go back to change them at any time. A field you’ve already assigned is no longer offered for later columns; if you don’t need a column, you can choose not to import it.

At the end you’ll see a summary of all the matches with a preview of the first 5 rows of your file, so you can check that the data ends up in the right fields before continuing. The only mandatory match is the wine’s name.

Step 3 — Set up the import

Choose which cellar to add the imported bottles to (or no specific position) and the default status to assign them. You can leave the “Use AI for wines not found” option on, which automatically searches the web for wines missing from Beviamolo’s archive. Before proceeding you’ll see a preview: how many wines have already been found, how many will be searched for by AI, how many bottles will be created, and how many rows will be skipped because they have no producer.

Step 4 — Review uncertain wines

For every row the AI couldn’t match with confidence, the app shows you the possible matches it found: tap the right one, or enter the wine manually, or skip that row. Nothing is ever added without your confirmation. If you like, you can stop the review at any time with “Exit import”: the bottles you’ve already confirmed stay in your cellar and you go straight to the summary.

Step 5 — Summary

At the end you’ll see how many bottles were added, how many rows were skipped, and whether there were any errors. From here you can go back to your cellar or import another file right away.
