Notifications

Beviamolo lets you know when there’s something worth knowing, without flooding you with useless messages.

What you get notified about

Among the most common notifications: a new app update being available, important news about the service, or updates related to your cellar. Unread notifications have a highlight dot.

Reading and managing notifications

Open the “Notifications” section from the menu to see the full list. Tapping a notification marks it as read and, if it calls for an action — for example updating to a new version — you’ll find a dedicated button (“Update now”) that takes you where you need to go. If you haven’t received anything yet, the section simply stays empty.

Choosing which notifications to receive

Your preferences for which types of notification to receive are set in Settings, in the section dedicated to notifications: you can turn individual categories on or off depending on what actually matters to you.

Notifications on your phone

On Android, Beviamolo can let you know even when the app is closed, with a notification in your phone’s notification bar: when a bottle in your cellar reaches its best moment or enters the last year of its ideal window, and with a couple of tips to get started if you haven’t added any bottles yet. The app checks for news a few times a day, so a notification may arrive a few hours late. Tapping it opens the right screen.

The first time, Beviamolo asks for your permission. After that, choose what to receive with the “Phone” column in the notifications section of Settings, or turn everything off from Android’s settings.
