Getting started

Welcome to Beviamolo. This guide walks you step by step through every feature of the app: here you’ll find how to get started, and the rest in the chapters that follow.

Creating an account

To use Beviamolo you need a free account. Tap “Create your account — it’s free” on the sign-in screen, then enter your email and choose a password (at least 8 characters, with one uppercase letter and one number — if you’re out of ideas you can tap “Suggest a password” and the app will generate a secure one for you).

You’ll be asked to confirm four things with a checkbox: that you’ve read the privacy notice, that you accept the terms of service, that you meet the minimum required age and — since this is an app about wine — that you’re of legal drinking age in your country. These are mandatory requirements; you can’t proceed without checking all of them.

After tapping “Create account” you’ll receive a confirmation email: open the link inside it to activate your account.

The invite code

During sign-up you’ll find an optional “Invite code” field. If a friend who already uses Beviamolo gave you their code, enter it here: as soon as you add your first bottle, they’ll receive some AI credits as a gift. If you don’t have a code you can leave the field empty and continue anyway. If the code isn’t valid, the app tells you before creating the account: check it, or clear the field.

Logging in

From the sign-in screen enter your email and password and tap “Log in”. If you’ve forgotten your password, tap “Forgot password?” and follow the instructions sent by email.

If you later turn on two-factor authentication (see the Account and settings chapter), when you log in you’ll also be asked for a 6-digit code generated by your authenticator app.

If you don’t have a connection

If your phone or computer can’t reach the internet but you’ve already signed in before on that device, the app offers you “Use offline mode”: you can keep browsing your cellar using the data saved locally. As soon as the connection comes back, tap “Sign in online” to sync everything again.
